Meraki

While working for Vivendo Projects Ltd, I’ve had a great pleasure to meet and work with a fascinatingly creative and passionate Chef, who has entrusted us with designing and furnishing his newly established restaurant in Rabat, Malta.

“Meraki” (in Greek “to do something with soul, creativity, or love”) was a challenging, but very rewarding project. Despite facing various limitations, such as low soffits or relatively small area, we have managed to create an efficient layout, optimizing the use of available space, without compromising the workflow. Except for the functional plans and complete interior design, we have supported the client in choosing the materials and finishes, helped in coordination of the works and furnished the Restaurant by providing both: standard and bespoke furniture.

My role: in this project was to: • design interiors and furniture • develop technical solutions and drawings of custom-made elements (main bar, wine cabinets) • perform site inspections and coordinate the manufacturing process • assist in the execution phase of the project.
